The Iraqi Center for Support Freedom of Speech calls, the Prime Minister, Dr. Haidar al-Abadi, and the Council of Al- Muthanna province to release the civil activist Khazal Khashan, and photographer Khalil Al-Baraka.

While the Iraqi Center condemns the Muthanna Provincial Council for prosecuting citizens of corruption case, and asks Council to withdraw the case against Khashan.

The Iraqi Center hopes that the Prime Minister, Dr. Haidar al-Abadi issued a special amnesty for the civil activist Khazal Khashan, especially that he said we protects defenders of reform.

The Iraqi Center for Supporting Freedom of Speech also condemns the actions taken by Al- Muthanna police command of the arrest of photographer Khalil al-Barakat, who joined Khashan without a warrant and for unknown reasons.
