The Iraqi Center for Supporting Freedom ofSpeech deplores the repeated harassment of officials in the Kurdistan region towards media institutions, the Iraqi Center calls on the authorities of the region to respect the work of the media working in the region and give them sufficient space to exercise their role there.
On Friday afternoon, the Asayish forces blocked the channels of Biyam, Sbeida, KNN, NRT and Khandan from conducting television coverage of the Turkish forces entering the villages of Barmizah in the district of Bradust in Erbil province.
The Iraqi Center calls all media organizations to sue the KRG as a constitutional and legal violation to the media by preventing them from covering events in the region.
