"Rights" condemns the dismissal of four university students in Diyala and demands the abolition of sanctions

The Iraqi Center for Supporting Freedom of Speech (Rights) condemns the decision that taken by the director of Belad Al- Rafedain collage in Diyala, to dismissal 4 students because of their views on social networking sites. The Iraqi Center considers the lack of respect for freedom of opinion and rejection of the different is a message towards dictatorship.
The Iraqi Center (Rights) refuses the decision that taken by the director of Belad Al- Rafedain collage by separating these students. It calls upon the relevant authorities to respect the freedom of expression and to abolish the penalties imposed on students, and the need to give them space for freedom of expression and criticism being guaranteed in the Constitution.
The Iraqi Center calls on students who have been dismissed to register lawsuits against the college to commit a legal offense and to undertake to provide lawyers in this regard.
A copy of the document issued by the director of Belad Al- Rafedain collage in Diyala and the the director of Belad Al- Rafedain collage in Diyala Center (Rights) received a copy of it: "Based on the powers vested in us, the punishment of the students listed below shall be decided to exceed the college by bad comment on the Internet."
The punishment was as follows Student: "Dhul Ghafar Ali Mohammed / First stage Accounting / Punishment for seven days, Tabarak Taha Mteb / Phase I Department of Medical Devices / three days, Karrar Hussein Ismail / Accounting, and Memon Ahmed Jaafar / Phase I Department of Medical Devices / giving a waring.
