Rights Center demanding an investigation with the security of Karbala University because they prevent the journalists from covering a demonstration of daily wages

The Rights Center for Freedom of Expression Support calls on the relevant authorities in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to open an immediate investigation into the incident of banning satellite TV crews in Karbala governorate from covering a demonstration of the daily wage employees in front of the university, in addition to picked up several pictures of journalists, in a threatening manner.
While the Rights Center deplores the security actions of Karbala University to prevent satellite television crews from covering the suffering of daily wage workers, it calls upon the administrations of these channels to file a lawsuit against the security forces who attacking their media teams, while the Center undertakes to provide a defense team in this regard.
The correspondent of INEWS satellite channel in Karbala HaiderHadi, told the Rights Center, that the security forces prevented him and his colleagues from covering a demonstration daily wages employees at KarbalaUniversity, noting that an associate in the security of the university has picked up several pictures of journalists, in a threatening manner.
Hadi added that “the channels that have been prevented are INews satellite channel, Al- Tagheer satellite channel, Dejlah satellite channels and Afaq satellite channel.
