The Rights Center for Freedom of Expression Support condemns the illegal and undemocratic practices practiced by members of the House of Representatives against the media and satellite channel correspondents, the most recent of which was the threat of MP KazemFangan Al-Hamami to the correspondent of Asia satellite channel, Mohammed Al-Awad, and the correspondent of Al- Nujaba’asatellite channel Mohammed al-Alfred by legal and tribal prosecution, as a response to the Awad’s question, while the Rights Center believes that refraining from the answer is preferable to the abuse of journalists.

While the Rights Center rejects these practices from the country's first authority, it fears the future of press freedom under the constant pressure of influential officials in the country.
The Rights Center calls on Speaker of House of Representatives Mohamed Halboussi to refer MP KazemFangan Al-Hamami to the Discipline Conduct Committee as he used a method rejected by the Presidency of Parliament.
Rights Center asks the correspondent of Asia satellite channel Mohammed al-Awad calls for a lawsuit against MP KazemVenjam al-Hamami, who broke the law and the constitution when he threatened a journalist in charge of public service, while pledging to provide a team of lawyer’s team.
The correspondent of Asia satellite channel Mohammed Al-Awadtold Rights Center that he asked a question to MP KazemVajanAlhamami on the hosting of oil and finance ministers in parliament, during a press conference, which caused Al-Hammami to be harassed for unknown reasons. His answer to the question was that he was poisoned, seduced and unacceptable, and when the journalists intervened, the MP faced them with a loud voice, a strong tone and inappropriate words.
“Al-Hamami threatened to issue a prohibition list from entering the parliament in addition to our warning against our legal and tribal prosecution” Al- Awadi said that.
