Rights Center for Freedom of Expression Support condemns the threat of Al-Nahar newspaper staff to kill and demands protection for the newspaper's headquarters

Rights Center for Freedom of Expression Support, condemns threats to press and media institutions by the topics they publish or highlighted in their institutions, the most recent of which was the threat of Al-Nahar newspaper staff, through text messages received by the newspaper's staff, from an unknown telephone number.
While the Rights Center warns against compromising journalists who shed light on government default and legislative weakness, and concerned about the repeated phenomenon of threatening journalists by text messages, as it foreshadows a new crisis between the press and government authorities.
The Rights Center calls on all security authorities to act quickly and take urgent measures to provide full protection for Al-Nahar newspaper staff and to investigate the number of messages received and those behind them.
The Chief editor of al-Nahar, Jouad al-Tunisi said that he and his told colleagues in the newspaper had been threatened with liquidation if they continue to publish materials related to deterioration of the general government situation.
